Update time...

Hello family and friends,

Yes, it's update time again. It seems like ages since i've blogged; partly because when Gabriel is sleeping, I'm trying to sleep and when I'm up, I'm trying to get a million other things done and blogging just doesn't ever seem to get done!! But, we are doing very well!
We have been working on a newsletter, but with our wonky schedules, I'm not sure when we'll get it done, so here are a few pointers we'll share with you for now!

We have our flights to head home booked for April 29th, and are so excited to head back, be home and just be home again! Life with a newborn will take us some time to adjust back home, along with working on a few ministry projects, so we'll be busy once we get back there, along with our unpacking of course. Being in Canada has it's pro's and con's, and we'll one of the things about it is we tend to take so much luggage back, it takes a while to sort through it all once were on that side!

An Openhouse/ Farewell is still in the plan for before we leave Canada, we are working on a date for that and will share it with you as soon as possible!

Please join us in prayer about these specific items as we prepare to head home and be a family once again!
  • For our ministry; physically and financially. Now with Gabriel in our lives, ministry takes another turn; and raising our son becomes ministry along with the other! We are able to take Gabriel on various outreaches, however, not all are safe and clean enough to be bringing a new baby to.
    • Physically, we will be doing all we can for now from home (Lena that is; Trophimus will do more of the moving around!). Moving around with a baby has it's safety challenges also in the way of public transport, so please pray with us for the funds to be able to purchase a vehicle.
    • Financially, we have been here in Canada working to raise up the financial support for our monthly budget, however there have been numerous challenges in that respect and we've not been able to raise our budget. Please commit to praying with us and for us that those who are to join our ministry boldly step forward, and that we can raise the rest of our budget in the short remainder of time we are here.
      • Our monthly budget is $2200 and we have the majority yet to raise up. With God we know all things are possible!
  • Please pray for Trophimus as he heads up to South Sudan for a month to continue working with Far Reaching Ministries on a film they are creating. We thank and praise the Lord for this provision of work for him, though it extends our trip in Canada by a month, we are grateful! God has a way of perfectly working things out when needed!
  • Prayers for the rest of our time here in Canada, in preparation to return home.
  • Traveling mercies as we journey home; that the flights will go smoothly and Gabriel will not have a problem with the air pressure. Also for us physically, mentally and emotionally, as traveling is exhausting, and than with a new baby, it will present it's own new challenges!
We thank and praise the Lord for His continued hand over us, while here in Canada, for His protection, provision, guidance and direction, and for being with Trophimus back home. The last few months have not been easy, but the Lord has used the situations we've been through to strengthen our faith immensely and for that, I wouldn't trade our situations for anything easier! We have felt the power of people's prayers throughout the entire time here in Canada and cannot thank everyone enough, your prayers have been our source of strength, encouragement and another reason to thank the Lord every day; despite the up's and down's!

Finally; we still have an abundance of items we've brought back with us from Uganda; from sewing material, to kids gadgets, to ladies jewelry and purses...we have it! Please look through the tab on the top of the blog and check it all out, and contact us to come look at it or make your purchase; the proceeds of those items will help out our budget for this years outreach events.

Thank you for continuing to stand with us.
Love the Odie's
