Well, we do have water right now, it's basins full of rain water that we collected from this mornings rains! For the last 3 days we haven't had running water in the house. That's pretty tricky, especially with a baby who needs diapers & clothes washed at least a few times a week! So, we've been hauling water in jerry cans, and it works. This morning I asked Trophi to please haul some water so we could begin with washing clothes, even though it was a rainy day as the jerry cans were almost empty. Well, within a few minutes of asking him, the heavens opened and God sent water! Troph rushed around putting the basins under the roof and within less than 20 minutes we took this photo below
Our big red basin...about 18 inches deep overflowed with rain water (here it was still filling!)
in about 20 minutes...yes, we informed Gabriel above the loud noise of the rain, that nope,
Canada doesn't get rains like this!
Trophi of course had to correct me, when I told him there was no water left, that, yes,
there's water! Sure enough, with the rain water (it was clean water as we've had a few rainy
days that cleaned all the dust off the roof) we were able to wash all the laundry as well as the
dishes and the big red basin is still sitting outside with water in it, so we can use it for whatever
else is needed...minus cooking & drinking though!
Hopefully our water comes back soon. Were not sure why it's gone.
Our neighbors have water, but we don't.
The tank was cleaned out, but the water meter has stopped, so we don't know.
But it's ok. Water will come back. It always does.
Sometimes it just takes longer than others.
For now, we'll collect rain water and fill jerry cans.
God is good ALL the time :)
