A little bit about Frontline, with pics to follow:
WHO - Frontline is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Kampala and we aim to reach out to the street children living in the slums and on the streets of Kampala.
WHERE - Our drop-in-center is in Calvary Chapel on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We are also involved in an outreach program in Kivulu slums during the week.
HOW - Our aim is to show these kids they are loved, not just by us but more importantly by the God who gave His Son for them. We do this by actively caring for their physical and spiritual needs. This includes giving medical attention, teaching basic math and English, giving out clothes when they're available, playing fun games with the kids and showing them with our love, words, actions and lives that they have a Saviour who LOVED them so much He died for them.
WHY - At Frontline Ministries we are motivated by the love of the Lord Jesus - "We love because He first loved us" (1 John 4v19). It is that simple. We ache for the kids to understand this truth. We want them to know that even if the world has rejected them, Jesus loves them and has paid for their sin on the Cross once and for all that they might have eternal life.
