So...its warmer here than it is in Chilliwack...well, put it this way, it was warmer when i first flew into San Antonio! Now, it's 9:30pm, and its down to just 5 degrees Celsius!! Brrr...
The flights went well, I left Seattle this morning at 8:15am, arriving in Houston, Texas at 2:25pm, barely making my connector flight, as there were some issues once we arrived in Houston. After a short 45 minute flight to San Antonio, arriving at 4pm, Heather and David, 2 other CTEN missionaries were waiting for both myself and Courtney to arrive and than head to Kerrville, 1.5 hrs north of S.A.
It was a good day, long, exhausting and pretty uneventful but good! What a blessing to be able to meet new friends; sisters and brothers in the Lord!! Heather had just flown in from Mexico, where she is in language school before serving a 2 year contract. Courtney, a teacher, flew in from Costa Rica, and both girls hope to head home to various States for Christmas before flying back out to the field. David and his wife (who is back in Detroit) are serving in the USA as missionaries.
On our way home from the Airport, we were able to share our testimonies and some experiences from the different countries we are serving in, and it was a great time of fellowship, such a joyful and encouraging thing for us to be together for one another, all praising God together!!!
Amy and Erin, 2 other girls that Heather and I are rooming with at the hotel; are on their way from the Airport, but we are bed bound, it's been a busy day, and the next few will also be busy!
So...i'll keep you posted!
