On the 21st of May, we had our Annual Sports Day with our Street Kids Ministry from church, called Frontline. We bussed about 250 street kids out to one of the International Schools, having a fun filled day with games, sports, food and the gospel. It was a long day, but so special to touch the lives of these boys, who spend their days on the streets. This was a day they will never forget, Praise the Lord!
What else is new?? Well, i've been busy with ministry at church, preparing for our upcoming AGM next week, as well as being the 'Unity Architect' and being a liaison between our various ministries and the pastors, doing the in between work. It's been great, busy and I love it!
Well, there is more news also, this past weekend I became engaged to a dear friend of mine, Trophimus Odie. He currently serves in the Media Ministry at church, and is Musician, Music Producer and sings with a few friends in their ministry group. We are planning our Wedding for 20th August, and have been busy this past week with searching for a venue, and putting a wedding budget together, in and amongst our work and ministry at church.
God is good, and we are trusting Him in every step we take. Though our wedding is only 2 months away, we pray and trust the finances will come in. As is tradition here in Uganda, everyone helps pay for each others weddings. The couple puts a budget together, and ours is very low compared to others as we are keeping it small an simple. So, thats what the next 2 months will bring for us outside of work, keeping us busy, but something we both enjoy!
