Valentine's Dinner ready to happen :)Well, another weekend full of blessings has passed!
Saturday was busy with meetings and a lot of computer work, including answers to prayer of which God used to encourage me for the weekend after having a bit of a heavy heart. Sunday was great, after a message from Daniel 3, and how Daniels 3 friends stood up for what was right, God blessed them, keeping them safe in the fiery furnace. They came out not even smelling like smoke. Another encouragement that was, hearing how they were pressured to do as the king wanted them to do, obey him, but they chose rather to obey God and go against what man wanted. I have felt the same over the past few weeks and am always so amazed at how it seems that God orchestrates messages to encourage me to keep my eyes fixed on him, and not what man wants or decided is right.
The event at the Chilliwack Bruin’s Annual Faith Night was a real blessing and joy to be part of! It was great to meet new contacts, reach out to people and share with them the love of Christ through the ministry God has put on my heart; reaching out to the children of Uganda. As the evening went on, throughout the intermissions and such God continued to put on my heart, that I was blessed by Him to be there to be a blessing to others, and what a joy that was!
Today brought me back to Langley to meet with 3 friends that came up from Seattle. We met to discuss plans for ministry opportunities for them as they hope to make a trip to Uganda this summer for a few weeks and I am excited to have them plugged in by us at Calvary Chapel Kampala with our Frontline Street Kids Ministry. We are excited, both myself and the team in Uganda as well as my 3 friends; as they begin raising up funds to be able to travel to Uganda and bless the children, we eagerly look forward to their trip!
Valentine’s Day…what did your special someone do for you? Well, as part of a small Bible Study on Monday nights, we had a potluck dinner and night of fellowship, worship in song and prayer. What a blessing that was, to share the time with friends, encouraging, blessing and lifting each other up. Our dinner was great, the table was all decked out with decorations and goodies and we had a fabulous turkey dinner, with all the toppings, great desserts, and just a really special time. For me, as my time is quickly running out, I am treasuring all of these special occasions, and tucking the memories away along with photo’s to help me remember!
Looking back this weekend was another blessed one, and yes, we are indeed blessed to be a blessing.
